🧁 Cursed Bakery

Welcome to Cursed Bakery, a story driven cake decorating game where the cakes are sweet, the customers are suspicious, and someone may have gotten away with murder.

You run a little bakery in a kingdom where the prince has just died under rather mysterious circumstances. Every day, a group of customers comes into your bakery, each with their own orders, personalities, and secrets.

Your job is supposedly to make cakes.

Your actual job is to figure out which one of them is the murderer.

And the best part? You don't have to listen to your customers.

You can carefully follow their orders and try to make the perfect cake... or completely ignore what they asked for and make whatever you feel like. See how they react. Experiment. Make questionable decisions. It's your bakery, after all.

As the days go by, you'll learn more about the customers and their connections to the prince. Pay attention to what they say, what they don't say, and the little details that don't quite add up.

And there's one more question...

Are you really a baker? Or are you someone else entirely?

🍰 About the Demo

This is an early demo of the game made for the Girly Game Jam #4.

The full game was planned to have 5 days, with the same group of customers returning throughout the story. This demo currently contains Day 1 only, and the night sections aren't included yet.

The cake decorating system is still being developed, so some things may change in future versions.

🖱️ Controls

The game is mouse only.

Left click: Continue dialogue
Right click: Instantly complete the current dialogue line

🐛 Known Bug

If you speed through dialogue really fast, the game can occasionally glitch.

It might:

• Send you straight to the cake decoration scene
• Repeat part of a dialogue section

It's a known bug and will hopefully be fixed in a future build.

For now, no speed running please.

Follow the orders. Ignore the orders. Make beautiful cakes or questionable ones. Talk to everyone. Figure out who is lying.

And whatever you do...

Don't assume the baker is just the baker.
